The Island Quarry on Ewingsdale Road, at the gateway to Byron Bay started with a group of community minded creatives over 25 years ago.   It grew and locals volunteered their time to create a vision where by arts, culture and music could thrive.  Many people fondly recall the parties,  creativity and good vibes and all wonder “what ever happened to the island quarry?”  In the 25 years since, that dream slowly faded, and with out grass roots community energy and participation, the vision was sadly never realised.

It’s time to take this incredible place back and deliver on the Plan of Management conceived   all those years ago .  

Sign this partition to the Minister of Crown Lands to allow new members and directors of the Island Quarry Reserve Trust and let a new generation of locals deliver on the promise for our whole community!
