The automatic punishment system in League of Legends needs to change.

The automatic punishment system in League of Legends needs to change.
The Issue
I am writing this on behalf of my best friend that recently got caught in the automatic punishment system and now is devastated. He is depressed and usually sits on a computer whenever he can, he spends almost every minute of his free time on League of Legends, it is where he gets all his entertainment from, but he has had a lot of problems lately and when he gets stressed he tends to type a lot more than usual, yesterday his account got permanently banned with the reason: ''Your comms are extremely inflammatory and offensive, you are among top 0.006% of players being this toxic'' So he must have typed some quite insane stuff to be in that amount of trouble right? The same day he made a few tweets about it, saying this would be the end, hinting suicide, and I just got scared, can a game really do this to a person? He cares so much about the game, but probably didn't realize the consequences of typing too much in the chat, and being very strict towards his teammates. I visited him the same day after I saw the tweets he made, just wanted to make sure everything was alright and he just said he wanted to be alone when I knocked on his door, it is really a sad situation and I can't judge whether or not he deserved to be permanently removed from the game or not, but after reading what he got banned for I am quite shocked, I decided to research a bit online and it seems like League of Legends ban system have had this thing where you automatically gets flagged if you type too much, and if you only type a few negative sentences you won't be flagged, but someone depressed as him using the game to vent out on, he typed a lot, but should he really be permanently removed from the game because he called someone bad? Really? I really don't think so, I just hope to spread some awareness about his problems because he already left twitter and other social media so this would get nowhere, I can only get in contact with him if I go to his house, it's just scary what depression can do to some people, and I really just feel bad and wish I could do more for him, since nobody else seems to care, including League of Legends, I did make a support ticket to them at first, and an automated robot answered, that's the amount of effort they put into their system.

What needs to change:
League of Legends system needs a change, you should not be flagged for typing too much when anyone can mute you at any time, you are not ruining their game experience, its pressing 1 button, I agree typing stuff around suicide, homophobic, racism, etc. is a 100% no go, but he never typed anything that crossed the line for a permanent ban, and it just reveals a huge flaw in their system.
Their support system also needs to change, but I give it the benefit of the doubt that it is this bad right now because of the coronavirus.
If you read through all of this, thank you a lot even if you do not support the cause, just thank you for reading it, it is a rough time and I just do whatever I can to support my friend.
