On the 29th of August 2019 Riot Games release path 9.17. Highlighting that patch were changes to a certain champion called Aurelion Sol. Aurelion has been a niche champion that has pretty much only been played by one tricks and has a very small player base. He focuses on an early game push and roam playstyle that is extremely hard to play and his unique w made him one of the hardest champions to play and master.

Riot opened up the changes with this quote "We're making Aurelion Sol more vulnerable to counterplay in the early game so that we have room to buff his scaling and presence in the late game. His adjusted W should also help make him a more approachable champion to those new to him, with clearer indicators of success and more satisfying in-game payoff."

The main change to his kit that really handicapped the champion was the change of this w from a toggle to an ability that turned him into more of a burst mage. The main takeaway from these changes is were it says they are making sol better for new players. Since the changes Aurelions playrate has dropped from 2% to 0.91% with a number of one trick like myself not playing the champion anymore. His win rate also dropped from 56% which although high is more because he is one tricked not because he was overpowered, to 49.2% despite still being one tricked by the few that still play him. There has really been no attempt to fix this issue and he seems to be one of the champions left in the graveyard neglected as his player base is too small to be heard, waiting for a revert or a rework that won't come for many years.

I would really appreciate it if you signed this petition to help restore Aureloin and get him out of the champion graveyard. He is such a cool champion thematically and unique playstyle wise and it is a shame he has become so irrelevant.
