Hello, 

My name is Andrew Hammer, and I was recently banned from League of Legends due to a 3rd party program. After spending weeks trying to negotiate with the support members assigned to me. I have come to the conclusion that I was banned for the program that I use for dyslexia. I have had a problem reading since I was a child due to childhood trauma which led to PTSD. When I get extremely stressed, reading is almost impossible. Since going to university, my school gave me a program to help me read and write papers to help me with my assignments. This program is called Read and Write Gold 11. How it interacts with Microsoft word and other programs would leave me to believe that it would have the same effect on the League of legends client. It replaces the normal menus with the ability to read them to me. I normally don't have both of the programs up at the same time, but this one instance I did. The following day I was banned. 

I have been playing league for about 6 years now. I have been a loyal and honest player to Riot and the community. I have striven to be nice to everyone I play with and never be toxic. I have spent the last 6 years playing this game making friends and trying to make as many people happy as possible. I have spent a lot of money on this account to unlock all of the content I could, and bought many mystery skins for friends and  random people after the match who I felt that deserve it and make the community a better place to be a part of. I did this to let those people know that someone is willing to reward them for being an outstanding member of the community and that they are noticed for their kindness. I have grown to the point where I actually managed to hit Diamond 3 after 3 years of hard work, time, sweat, and maybe a few tears. I actually felt like that all this hard work finally paid off for me and all of my friends who had my back for the wild ride, keeping me from giving up, and pushing me to strive higher.

About 3 weeks ago I just got back from class, sat down at my computer and waited for my friends to get online so that we all could play. My client black screened and the dreaded message that caused me so much sadness, depression, and anxiety appeared on my screen. "Your account has been banned, the client will now close". I thought this was an error or something and tried to log back in and got the message that made my heart sink in my chest. "This account has been permanently suspended." I went to my e-mail to find a message from Riot games saying,

"Hello Summoner,

Your account: andrewhammerr was banned due to the use of malicious 3rd party programs or modifications to your League of Legends client. We believe that all players should play on equal footing in an effort to promote competitive sportsmanship. You should be aware that modifying your League of Legends client is against the Terms of Use: http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/legal/termsofuse We hope you can see that it is unsatisfying to play against other players who are using a tool to gain an advantage over others. "

After reading this I went straight to the Riot support page to try and get this figured out as quickly as possible, since I had done nothing of the sort. At first I thought this might have something to do with my PayPal getting hacked just the week prior, and just finding out the day before this. As if I had accidentally installed a Trojan or something onto my computer that was allowing for a backdoor onto my computer. After about 2 days of anticipation, I finally got a response. It was a bot response just telling me what the ban was for. I replied and waited again. At this point I was trying to figure out what had caused this problem. After a few more days I got a real person from the Player Behavior team. He again said that,

                "The system we use to detect this has very clear evidence that this account was in violation of our Terms of Use due to the usage of scripts, hacks, exploits or unauthorized third-party programs in the game. After taking another look into your account, it doesn't look like this was a mistake.

To protect the integrity of our investigative methods, I will not be sharing more detail about how the detection was done. We will not be lifting the ban on this account under any circumstances."

Again, I thought this was a mistake since I would never do anything to put my account at risk after all these years of emotional investment, playing, and supporting riot by any means possible. I even have the American Express Serve League of legends Debit Card, which has Teemo on it, just to show my dedication to the game itself. I have spent the last 3 miserable weeks trying to figure out the real reason for my account getting banned, but have only been told different versions of the same response. I spent that time looking at what programs might have caused it, up till this point, I had only used Curse Voice and Discord. I learned that the the beta version of Discord, that had the new and experimental overlay, could have been the problem. I provided Riot  support with pictures of how the beta overlay interacted differently with the client, and the Trojan that was found on my computer by my Virus protection. I felt like the support member assigned to my case overlooked this info and just went with the script they are given. After telling them about the Read and Write Gold Program, I was told "We are not able to comment on applications that we do not directly support."

 I know I have never used anything that merits my account getting banned.  I care way too much about this game and the community I have made with the friends I have met along the way. I feel like if this account stays permabanned I will have wasted 6 years of my life and have nothing to show for it. I would never do anything to want to destroy my trust in Riot, and would hope that I would get the same respect that I gave to them. I was told this just 8 months ago.

“We appreciate the time, effort and money you've spent in the game. We're glad to see your continued support to League of Legends, and please know that we're doing whatever we can to give out the best gaming experience to all of our valued players like you.”

To now being permabanned without any reason or explanation to it.

All I am asking for are

1. My account to be unbanned so that I may prove that I have not cheated by any means, I would be willing to be monitored for a specific length of time. During this time, if anything programs or cheats are not detected I would be unbanned without any further motorization
2. To take a suspension up to a year and then come back with the monitored option above.
3. To take a suspension up to a year and a ranked game suspension that would make it so that I cannot play ranked on the game.
