Change Qiyana's In-Game True Damage Model

The Issue

The splash art for all of members of True Damage overall seemed to hype up players all across social media platforms. The intricacies of the skins appeared to be stunning and vibrant with life.

However, with the reveal of Qiyana's in-game model, there has become a prominent discrepancy between her splash art and what she truly looks like in the Rift.

Qiyana's splash art for her regular edition True Damage skin shows her weapon (an ohmlatl) shining with luminosity, light reflecting off of the beautiful golden and diamond-esque structure that she so confidently sits upon. Her hair, a blunt and uneven mix of cotton candy blue and bubblegum pink, brings a fashion forward sense of style along with her "idol" outfit, that is new and exciting for a character in League.

What's given for her in game model? Her ohmltal, originally glistening, is shown as a flat combination of silver and dark yellow. The diamonds she had? They are a flat white, lacking any depth contrast on her weapon. Her hair is given a complete disservice, with what was supposed to be a blunt color block as shown in the splash art, became a faint strip of pink in the middle of her blue hair. The colored sections of her hair are not shown on the correct sides of her head. The rest of her outfit, although most of it seems somewhat reflective of what's shown in her art, misses the mark at her boots. What should be dark blue and edgy high heels, turns into a copy and pasted blue from her hair shown in the in-game model.

Qiyana's prestige edition goes even further away from what is represented. Prestige skins, something Riot has established as special version of skins we love, does not give it justice to the prestige artist either. The color scheme shown in the splash art, representing her ohmlatl in a beautiful blue and purple ombre blend, is not visible anywhere in her model. Her sophisticated blouse in the splash art is not even close to the clunky design on the in-game model. Her shoes and leggings blend into a horrible militaristic blend of a deep yellow and off blue. And the hair she couldn't seem to get right in the first in-game model? It's nowhere even close. The blue that is easily visible in her splash art to be on the right side of her head is now a skunk-like streak straight through the middle of her hair. The diamonds on her crown shine in disappointment.

With a skin line seeming to be so accurate to other True Damage members, it is unfathomable why Qiyana's couldn't make the mark. To be paying for these skins, that are not mirroring the beautiful work done by the talented artists at Riot, is not paying for a true product. For a sense of payoff, players deserve something that attempts to get what it promised right. Players want to support the skin line, and players want to work towards getting prestige skins for their favorite characters.

By signing this petition, I hope we can gain some sort of traction to get even the smallest of changes, to make Qiyana as beautiful as she is in her splash art.
