Drivers for Uber, Lyft, and other rideshare platforms keep our cities moving. Yet the current system is unfair and unsafe. We face hidden pay cuts, disappearing bonuses, unsafe distractions, unfair costs, and false allegations that can end our careers overnight.

We demand all rideshare companies fix these issues immediately:

1. Fair Pay — Riders can keep seeing upfront fares, but drivers must be paid based on the actual time and distance (rate card) of each trip. No hidden formulas.
2. Surge Integrity — If a surge is displayed, honor it. Stop wasting drivers’ gas and time by showing zones that vanish once we arrive.
3. Safe App Design — Remove dangerous pop-ups that block navigation mid-ride. Drivers should never be forced to take their eyes off the road.
4. Accurate Speed Data — Fix incorrect in-app speed limits. Wrong data leads to unfair “safety” flags and pressures drivers to drive unsafely.
5. Protection Against False Allegations — Riders can make unverified claims that get drivers deactivated instantly. Drivers deserve a fair investigation and the right to defend themselves before losing income.
6. Fair Insurance & Fees — Commercial insurance and government fees should not come out of driver pay. These costs protect riders and the public, so they should be included on passenger receipts — not deducted from driver earnings.

Rideshare companies must put safety, fairness, and transparency first. Drivers deserve respect, accurate pay, protection from false claims, and freedom from hidden costs.
