Taken from Police 2nd investigation outcome letter

Due to waiting times for 101 that day, your call was directed through to our switchboard who advised
you of the timings of the queue, you were asked if you would like a call back.
Unfortunately, the time of the wait depends solely on the number of calls South Yorkshire Police are
receiving at that time.
Our Switchboard operators are not trained or able to assess a call as RCRP (Right care right person)
or to advise you to contact 111.
The calls you made through to our switchboard and the call back made from the call Handler, have
both been listened to by me and a supervisor from Atlas court.
The operator who made to the call back to yourself was Miss ****, her supervisor believes she did
not handle the call correctly. Some information is missing from the report and from the call it is clear
this should have been recorded as a missing person. Although this ultimately would not have changed
the outcome, it should have nevertheless been dealt with instead of advising you to contact 111.
Finding: The service provided by the police was not acceptable
In conclusion, it is considered that learning has been identified in respect of this allegation
This will be fed back to the call handlers team leader to discuss with Miss ****.
May I apologise for any inconvenience that has been caused and I hope that the explanations that I
have provided offer you reassurance.

Firstly i was not made aware i was talking to an operator, i beleived i was taking to a Trained Police call handler.

The First Investigation took only 5 days and concluded that it was done correctly and i referred to the IOPC who agreed with the police.

then i made a second complaint which was much the same as the first but this time round it took over 3 weeks and the outcome is above NOT ACCEPABLE.

and from what ive discovered this policy which is ment to be run by all partner agencies, here in south yorkshire for last year its not been run by the ayorkshire MHS Trust  as per below quotes...

The Police and IOPC  are saying the ambulance service are aware and running The Right care policy and i quote

"I have made enquiries with the force and have been provided with evidence that they have kept the ambulance service fully informed about the RCRP policy and their role within it. Accordingly, I am satisfied the force's responsibility to inform their partner agency about the policy has been fulfilled. Any concerns with how the partner agency ensured their own staff were properly informed would be beyond my remit to consider"

and the Ambulance Service are saying

"South Yorkshire Police have a policy which they have implemented. This is not a Trust policy and was not initiated or implemented by the Trust"

So this means People with Mental Health problem are not getting the help they are just getting delays but atleast the police are suposed to be saving Man Hours what a joke.

now currently there is a complaint with the IOPC about the police and the IOPC about how they got it wrong the first time round.

The Parlimentary Health Ombusman  has decided they are opening an investigation in to Yorkshire NHS Trust.

and My MP Dan Jarvis has been compiling a case too, just got off the phone this afternoon with his office.

I also love the way this ERROR as they put is played down and the Call Handler(trained) just gets a talking too

and this

May I apologise for any inconvenience that has been caused.

Just an Inconvenience to them what he

BTW i spent 45 minutes writing a previous update but my F**cking cat walked on my keyboard and deleted the lot
