May 2014 I begged and pleaded with Ottawa Community Health Care to put my 17 year old son into a program to help him.  They stated there was no options in the state of Michigan for him.  They insisted he come home.  On December 10th, 2014 my son was taken from us by suicide.  He had fought many demons because of physical abuse he had received at the hands of his biological mother and grandmother.  He needed to be institutionalized.  We were forced to take care of him despite our stating we were not equipped.  The only options was to put him on medicines and home.  Once he was on these medicines he appeared to be getting better but unfortunately that is a sign that he is actually worse.  We were not told the warning signs.
