Our community has been impacted by two boys who were lost at sea. We live in a huge boating community where someone can get their boating license at 14 yrs of age. Drivers Education is offered in school, why not have a boating/water safety class offered in school? It's common for children to operate boats, jet skis, they are on the water with paddle boards, snorkeling or swimming and get caught in strong currents and drift out. Many are never found. It takes about 4-6 minutes for someone to drown. I am asking for classes to be set up across our community to prevent such a tragedy that recently happened to Austin Stephanos, Perry Cohen and others. Let's think of our children and teach them boating/water safety. LET'S SAVE LIVES!
