Justice for the Doole Family

Justice for the Doole Family
The Issue
If you took the time out of your day to stop and read this, I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Naflan Doole was convicted of a crime that he will continue to prove his innocence for and is being held on Rikers Island as of May 6, 2021. On May 27, 2021, for Naflans sentencing, he will be told whether or not he will be given 4-year probation or a 4-year sentence from Judge Jeong at the Richmond County Supreme Court. Now you may wonder how you can help, why should you help? Or even sign this petition? The Doole Family has struggled financially for three years to come up with the funds in order to prove Naflan’s innocence by hiring the best criminal defense lawyer, hiring a medical examiner, going to trial, and denying every plea deal. The Doole Family did whatever they could to prove Naflan’s innocence, as he is someone who has helped this community for years working at many organizations to better this community and our society.
Ahamed Doole, Naflan’s father was sadly diagnosed with cervical dystonia a year ago, which is an incurable involuntary muscle spasm located on his neck. Ahamed was then informed of nerve damage on his right hand and elbow leaving those areas completely numb. This has left Ahamed disabled but he is still working his twelve-hour shifts for five days a week just to make a living. This with the help of Naflan’s food delivery work has made them split all the bills for the past three years. Ahamed becoming disabled with no medical insurance to cover any MRIs, treatments, and Botox that he has to pay out of pocket is too much. In July, Ahamed will be getting a procedure done in order to help with his nerve damage, this will leave Ahamed at bed rest with no income to support the Doole household. Naflan’s younger sister was also in a car accident the month of April leaving her unable to work and support her family along with Naflan and her father. This puts their family under so much stress financially and emotionally.
I want to state that this petition is NOT for sympathy, financial help, political abuse etc. This petition is to state the innocence of Naflan Doole and explain the importance of how much the Doole Family NEEDS Naflan on this 4-year probation so his family can survive, especially knowing that Ahamed will be getting a procedure done in 2 months. Therefore I'm asking the people if you can please sign this petition to help someone’s son, brother, friend, and colleague to come home on the 27th of May on 4-year probation to better himself from this experience and MOST importantly continue helping his family. Judge Jeong, I pray the people will prove who Naflan Doole really is by signing off on this petition that he deserves 4-year probation. Taking Naflan Doole away from his family is the last thing his family needs. Hopefully, Naflan will still be the glue to hold the Doole family together and make sure they all know how loved they were no matter how hard it got and to never give up hope but without him, I fear things will fall apart.
The impossible is possible, I confined that this world isn't full of evil and people deserve a second chance.
Thank you.
