Richards Bros terminated their 412 service (now known as T5) through Trecwn in 2015. People who have no other means of transport wishing to get in and out of Trecwn, now have to wait for a connecting shuttle bus, which incidentally doesn't run every hour - or walk. The roads are long, dark and fast and recently a teenage boy was struck by a car when he got off the bus near Trecwn. All he wanted to do was get home and he had no option but to get off where the driver stopped and disaster struck. He is now in hospital and if it wasn't for the terminated bus service, he would be home as normal with his family. Get the bus service back through Trecwn, it's just a 3 minute bus ride and its doesn't put countless lives at risk!

As for the claim that the T5 service comes around Trecwn in peak times, this isn't always the case - even the college bus that's contracted to bring the kids home, doesn't want to come around. The shuttle bus that connects the buses doesn't always run when it should either. The T5 buses still go through Letterston and they have designated stops that are well lit - our residents have to dice with death on a dark, fast A40 with no designated stops. If we can't get a permanent service back through Trecwn, then why can't the connecting shuttle bus meet at a safer location, say Letterston square? It's safe, well lit and has a shelter for when it's raining.
