INDUSTRIAL ASPHALT RELATED - Public Hearing Meeting on Monday, 5/4/26 @ 5:00 PM
Hello everyone,
We are approaching a critical moment for Lafayette County—and your presence matters!
The Lafayette County Board of Supervisors will consider the Planning Commission’s recommendation regarding the Industrial Park current zoning. This is a pivotal step in the process—and where public presence can make a meaningful difference. This is the opportunity for the public to be present and heard. If you feel comfortable speaking, you will have that opportunity. If you don't feel comfortable speaking, your attendance alone sends a strong and unified message! If there are too many people to fit in the room, we will have a chance.
At the recent Planning Commission meeting, legal counsel presented detailed arguments supported by applicable law and precedent. Despite this—and strong public turnout and opposition—the Commission voted to recommend that current zoning remain unchanged. Please note, NONE of the Board of Supervisors were present to hear directly from those in attendance and another reason May 4 is so important!

This next phase will require significantly greater legal resources. We are deeply grateful to those who have already contributed and made it possible to reach this point. If you are able, we are asking for continued financial contributions towards legal expenses.
