Magnolia Materials, LLC, located at 87 County Road 166 in Oxford, MS, has applied to the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) for the following permitting actions:
Issuance of Coverage under the Large Construction Storm Water General Permit (No. MSR109782);
Issuance of Coverage under the Hot Mix Asphalt General Permit (No. MSR700115)
The applicant's operations fall within Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code 2951 - Asphalt Paving Mixtures and Blocks. Staff of the Mississippi Environmental Quality will hold a public hearing on this matter from 6:00 - 9:00 pm on June 10, 2026.
THIS HEARING IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
The purpose of the public hearing is to explain the proposed permitting actions and to receive comments from the public regarding the actions. Persons wishing to comment upon or object to the proposed coverages are invited to submit comments in writing to Mrs. Montie Hardaway Glenn at hitps:// www.mdeg.ms.gov/hardaway-montie/ (for stormwater), Mr. Jaricus Whitlock at https://www.mdeq.ms.gov/whitlock-jaricus/ (for air), or to the Mississippi Environmental Quality Permit Board at P.O. Box 2261, Jackson, MS 39225, no later than the end of June 10, 2026. Comments received by this date will be considered by the Permit Board in their final determination of the proposed coverages.
