Rewrite Fantastic Four: First Steps with John Krasinski returning as Mister Fantastic

The Issue

I am a lifelong fan of the Marvel Universe and was one of many people to be thrilled to see John Krasinski briefly portray Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic) in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness after he was a popular casting choice among so many fans. His performance was not only outstanding, but also looks like he was pulled straight out of the comics.

However, recent news says that Pedro Pascal will take over the role. While I think that he's an amazing actor as well, he does not look anything like Mister Fantastic. I think that there are other Marvel characters that would much better suit him. If you want him to stay in the movie, I suggest casting him as Silver Surfer who shouldn't even be gender swapped.

Therefore, I beg Marvel Studios to reconsider their casting choice for Mister Fantastic and retain John Krasinski in this role due to his proven performance ability and physical likeness to Reed Richards.

Lastly, I'd appreciate it if the movie wasn't set in the 1960s. That is a stupid reason to explain why they haven't been in the MCU so far and I think at the earliest, the movie should be set during the five year gap during the blip. We already got two MCU movies from the 1900s with Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain Marvel. They at least had good reason to be set in those time periods. The Fantastic Four doesn't. Fans want to see them turn Avengers Tower into the Baxter Building since it was sold in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Please sign this petition if you agree that John Krasinski should continue portraying Mister Fantastic in future MCU productions.
