But the recent shift to the Yondr pouch system, which requires phones to be locked away during school hours, undermines this safety.

Numerous incidents around the country underscore the essential role of mobile technology in ensuring student safety. In a report published by the Pew Research Center, 94% of parents indicated that their children have a cell phone for security reasons. Moreover, 98% of parents say they feel more at ease knowing they can reach their child instantly if need arises(Source: Pew Research Center).

Henceforth, we recall the original policy, which balances the need to minimize distractions with the critical necessity to ensure the safety of students. We believe this change reflects a pragmatic understanding of the necessity of communication in today's world.
