As a current student in this course, I feel like these new proposed changes would significantly affect our ability to continue doing well on the course. The reasons for this are as follows: With written assessments the anonymity of the student is protected however on the spot test does not provide the same protection, the change in assessment types are drastically different and not what us students agreed to when signing up for these modules (especially the optional modules as assessment type influenced our decisions), These changes being made now does not provide us with enough time to adapt to the change in structure as we are used to written assignments and have never been given these types of assessments before, These changes being made on the last year of our studies (which is the most vital) is extremely unfair to us as we've had no preparation in these types if assessments, On the spot tests and clinical scenarios cause high levels of stress and anxiety that will affect the students performance in comparison to written coursework.

Our dissertation has already been changed (after joining the course), and when we expressed our negative opinions on the changes we were simply brushed off. I hope this time our opinions get taken into consideration and the changes don't take place as I know that I am speaking on behalf of a lot of students. A petition is already in notion between the students in my course (Neuroscience) to back these claims that I've made and the results will be shared with staff when complete.
