The MS-Memer-Group (MSMG) on famous meme-making and social media platform Imgflip (see this link here) has been around since the height of the Covid pandemic. A series of owners have run the stream, which runs mainly on "sh*tposts" and other various memes. However, users have banded together to make MSMG one of Imgflip's top communities, with over 9000 people now following the stream and forming new friends.

However, over recent months, the Imgflip Site Moderators (AndrewFinlayson, SurlyKong69 and Ser.Donald.P.Suttingsworth), who hold power over nearly the entire site, have taken over MSMG and significantly reduced the ability to say whatever you would like within reason. They've banned people for the most ridiculous of reasons, such as "brigading" (linking another user's post for a silly reason, often not malicious although somehow treated as such). They've also banned users for several days over things which would normally only warrant a warning, such as the aforementioned "brigading" and saying certain cuss words and mild slurs.

What's worse, the rules don't seem to apply to them. Imgflip is a 13+ website, but the sitemods (most notably Andrew through his 'NSFW week' campaign) have been known to post NSFW, borderline pornographic content.

Their constant banning of MSMG users and approving of their own NSFW content is a clear example of moderation abuse, and that's why I, Ravyn, and the rest of MSMG are asking for your support to help oust them from their positions and restore MSMG to its former glory.
