Revoke Licenses for Exploiting Restaurants

The Issue

I can’t stay silent any longer. I went through all this in my early stage of pregnancy.

I worked at The South Indian restaurants in Stockholm and Södertälje, and what I went through there still haunts me. I worked long hours, gave everything I had but I was never paid what I was promised. When I asked for my salary, the owner lady threatened me she even threatened to harm my unborn child over the phone.

I wish I could say this was just my story, but it's not.

For years, the owners have been intimidating and harassing workers who simply ask to be paid. And recently, it’s gotten even worse. During a police inspection, three people were found working under terrible conditions—trafficked and exploited. And still, the owner claimed she didn’t know who they were and refused to pay them.

This can’t be happening—not in a country like Sweden, where human rights and fairness are meant to matter.

But it is happening. Behind the scenes, there’s also visa abuse, tax fraud, and the misuse of AU PAIR programs. It’s not just unfair—it’s illegal. And it’s happening out in the open, while vulnerable people continue to suffer.

That’s why I’m asking for your help.

We need the authorities to take this seriously. The business licenses for The South Indian Stockholm and Södertälje should be revoked immediately. It’s time to hold these owners accountable and protect the people they’ve hurt.

Please, join me. Sign this petition to demand justice—not just for me, but for every worker who’s been exploited, threatened, or silenced.

Thank you for standing with us.
