We, Panthers Fans around the world, are writing to formally request the revocation of the journalistic credentials held by David Newton, due to repeated failures in adhering to the fundamental principles of accurate, ethical, and responsible journalism.

David Newton has consistently demonstrated a concerning pattern of behavior that undermines the integrity of the profession. Specifically, we cite the following issues:

Inaccurate Reporting: Mr. Newton has been involved in numerous instances of misreporting information. These inaccuracies not only mislead the public and fan base but also erode trust in the media as a whole. Accurate reporting is the cornerstone of journalism, and Mr. Newton's repeated failures in this area are unacceptable.

Ethical and Moral Concerns: There have been multiple reports of questionable ethical practices associated with Mr. Newton’s work. His approach to handling of sensitive topics often reflect a lack of respect for the ethical standards that are essential in journalism. Such practices jeopardize the credibility of the news he reports and the institutions he represents. It also is extremely invasive to the players and at times impacts their friends and loved ones 

Impact on Public Trust: The issues associated with Mr. Newton's reporting have had a tangible negative impact on public trust in media. Reliable journalism is vital for a well-informed public, and continued association with reporters who fail to meet these standards damages the profession’s reputation.
Given the seriousness of these concerns, we believe that Mr. Newton's continued presence as a journalist with the for the Carolina Panthers is detrimental to the standards of accuracy and integrity that are essential to the profession. We urge David and Nicole Tepper as well as Tamera Green, Kisha Smith AND Kristi Coleman to review his credentials and consider the appropriate action to ensure that journalism remains a reliable and ethical pursuit.
