Our town, New Castle, Pennsylvania, once flourished as an industrial powerhouse—home to steel, tin, fireworks, and even the iconic chili dog. Nestled near a vibrant Amish community, we’re rich in heritage—yet we’ve seen our shine dim over time. I believe a July 4th festival, rooted in these proud traditions, can reignite community spirit. In the short term, it’ll bring families, boost local business, and restore pride. But long term, I see this tradition putting New Castle back on the map—attracting visitors, inviting investment, revitalizing Cascade Park, and giving us a future we’re proud of.
