Revive a Classic: Remake the Original Golden Sun!

Revive a Classic: Remake the Original Golden Sun!
The Issue
Golden Sun is a turn-based RPG that was developed Camelot Software Planning and published by Nintendo in 2001 for the Game Boy Advance. The plot revolves around a group of characters that wield a magical force called "psynergy" that are tasked with preventing the power of Alchemy from being restored after it was sealed away due to its abuse nearly destroying the world. The gameplay combines turn-based RPG mechanics with exploration and puzzle solving. Golden Sun received wide-spread acclaim upon its release and went on to sell over a million copies. It spawned two sequels in the form of The Lost Age for the GBA in 2002 and Dark Dawn for the DS in 2010.
The original Golden Sun had a fun story that was both simple yet fun and entertaining with the occasional twist. You control the lead character named Issac and along the way acquire friends that join your party to assist in the game's story. As you progress in the game, your characters learn different kinds of psynergy that can be used both in battle and out of battle to solve puzzles or things like being able to read minds etc. Along the way, your party encounters small creatures called "djinn" that you can use to assist your characters and unlock different classes to use in battle depending on the arrangement of djinn you assign to your characters. They also can be used for powerful summon attacks during combat.
A remake could breathe new life into the series by reimagining all the different locations and characters from the original. Many quality-of-life improvements would be welcome to the game as well as potential additional content like new enemies/bosses and new areas. Revisiting the original soundtrack would be a dream to many.
The first Golden Sun and the Lost Age were both brought to the NSO for Switch in 2024. Although the gameplay still holds up today, a remake of the game is more than deserved and would help introduce newcomers to the series by revitalizing its first entry. If you support giving this amazing classic being given a complete remake or potential remaster, then please consider signing this petition, sharing with fellow fans of the series, and if you are able to donate to help promote as well. Thanks!
