Revitalize Hilton Coliseum's Authentic 'Clone Cones'

The Issue

As a lifelong Iowa State fan, some of my most cherished memories revolve around sharing a Clone Cone with my dad when visiting Hilton Coliseum. These delicious behemoth cones, synonymous with Hilton Coliseum and the Cyclones, were not merely a dessert but intrinsic to the overall basketball experience.

Sadly, the once iconic Clone Cone has suffered a gradual reduction in size, depriving many of an integral part of their Hilton Coliseum visit. This subtle yet significant change may seem minimal in the grand scheme of things, but to fans like myself, it's a blow to what we hold dear.

It's estimated that Hilton Coliseum attracts over 14,000 visitors per home game [source: NCAA]. Imagine how many of these fans are also feeling the loss of the Clone Cone's former splendor. We're not merely talking about a sports tradition but childhood memories and experiences that have spanned generations.

Through this petition, we strongly encourage the Hilton Coliseum management to restore Clone Cones to their original size. We recognize cost considerations, but we believe the Clone Cones, like our Cyclones, should remain larger than life.

We must preserve and promote the traditions that bind our community and rejoice over our shared history. Restoring the Clone Cones is about celebrating our shared experiences and memories – big cones make big differences. Please lend your support, sign this petition, and let's bring back the glory of the Hilton Coliseum Clone Cone.
