Ending homelessness is one thing that we as a nation strive to do. Preventing more people from becoming homeless is something we as a nation CAN do. In the state of Texas alone, millions of dollars are being directed to weatherizing homes when money is running out for unemployment benefits. If we continue spending this money, we will have weatherized houses that nobody can afford to live in. Let's direct some funds from the weatherization funds to the unemployment and help prevent more people from becoming homeless.
