The Issue

Living in the Crystal Valley Ranch community, we all take pride in maintaining the aesthetics and harmony of our neighborhood. However, the current bylaw enforced by our Homeowners Association (HOA) regarding trashcan storage has become a subject of discussion and concern for many residents. The existing regulation requires all trashcans to be stored out of sight, which can be challenging for homes with limited storage options and garages cluttered with everyday necessities.

Storing trashcans altogether inside the garage is not only inconvenient but also impractical in terms of space and accessibility. It poses challenges especially for families with large recycling needs or those who wish to maintain a hygienic environment without attracting pests inside the house.

We propose a feasible and sensible solution: amend the current HOA bylaw to allow residents to store their trashcans on the side of their homes, provided that they are kept behind the wing fence. This adjustment respects the visual integrity of our community while offering a practical storage solution for residents.

Many modern communities have embraced similar bylaw amendments, acknowledging the evolving needs of their residents. This change would be a step towards accommodating the diverse lifestyles and storage capabilities of our homeowners in Crystal Valley Ranch. Furthermore, keeping trashcans within designated fences still aligns with the community's standard for tidiness and organization.

We urge the members of the HOA board to consider this proposal seriously and see to it that the Crystal Valley Ranch community bylaws reflect both functionality and convenience while maintaining the charm that draws families to our neighborhood.

Sign this petition to support a more practical and community-friendly change to our HOA bylaws regarding trashcan storage.
