Revert the City's name from 'Gurugram' to 'Gurgaon'

Revert the City's name from 'Gurugram' to 'Gurgaon'
The Issue
Gurgaon to Gurugram - this is a tale not of two cities but the re-christening, or should we say namkaran sanskaar, of one.
Though renaming cities started soon after 1947, it gained prominence in 90’s — when Bombay became Mumbai. Later, Madras became Chennai, Calcutta became Kolkata and Bangalore became Bengaluru.
But thinking up probable reasons behind this switch (since none given by the Khattar government seems to satisfy it), Gurgaon was not, first of all, named by Britishers.
If it wasn't so then why did the government plan to change the famous city's name from Gurgaon to Gurugram? What was even a need behind that?
Though some of you might believe it or not, but in some or the other way this change in name is going to affect the economy, culture and a lot more of the city as the city is known by Gurgaon to all, an IT Hub for many of the FORBES 50 Companies, which provides jobs to people of the whole Delhi NCR region.
And being a hon'ble CM of the state, how can one change the name of a city which is considered to be the best in the state, without even gathering any views from the citizens of the city itself?
Isn't it unfair that the CM with his government decided to change the name of 'Gurgaon' to 'Gurugram' WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING THE OPINION OF THE PEOPLE THEMSELVES LIVING IN THE CITY SINCE MANY YEARS.
I have put this petition on Change.org to help reach a considerate mark(as in number of signatures on this petition) so that this petition reaches to our respected CM and he re-thinks about this issue and hope that he plans to resolve this as soon as possible.
I have also put this issue here as I live in Gurgaon and I've been living here since my birth and it's been almost years by now and I love my city and it's actual name i.e., Gurgaon, for what it is known to the world since years.
