Canada's national anthem, "O Canada," is an embodiment of our patriotism and culture. Unfortunately, in recent years, modifications to the lyrics have elicited confusion, controversy, and a sense of disconnect among many Canadians. In 2018, a bill was passed that aided in changing the anthem's lyrics from 'in all thy sons command' to 'in all of us command,' a move that well-intentioned as it was, alienated some citizens who grew up and identified with the original wording. We believe in equality and inclusivity, but we also uphold the preservation of our national identity and history. We propose a respectful return to the original lyrics of the national anthem - the lyrics that many Canadians know and fondly remember. We ask for your support in restoring a piece of our heritage.
