Revert Steam's Recent Changes to Trading Features

Revert Steam's Recent Changes to Trading Features
The Issue
I am a long-time user and supporter of Steam, having been part of the community since 2015 when trading sites first emerged. Over the years, I've invested my time and money into these platforms, building up a collection that was not just a hobby but also an investment. However, in 2024, without any prior warning or consultation with us users who have supported them for so long, Steam made significant changes to their trading features.
These changes have had far-reaching impacts on our ability to trade effectively. We can no longer view an item in another user's inventory if it has been received in a trade or purchased within the last ten days. Additionally, we are now unable to view updates to a trade state - we can only detect when an item has been accepted on Steam.
This lack of transparency is not only frustrating but also damaging for those of us who rely on these features for our trading activities. It feels as though our investments and commitments over the years have been disregarded overnight.
We understand that changes may be necessary for various reasons such as security or efficiency improvements; however, communication with your dedicated user base should be paramount before implementing such drastic measures. We urge you to reconsider these recent changes and revert back to the previous system that worked well for so many years.
Please sign this petition if you believe in fair trading practices and value transparency from companies like Steam where we invest our time and money.
