I am a patient who has experienced firsthand the negative impact of privatisation in our NHS. Unnecessary procedures were forced upon me, not for my health's benefit, but to generate profit. This is a direct result of funding arrangements that channel much of our NHS budget into shareholders' pockets.

The privatisation of the NHS has led to conflicts of interest that compromise patient care and outcomes. A study by The Lancet revealed that private providers often prioritise profit over patients' health, leading to worse outcomes (The Lancet, 2019).

We must reverse this trend and return control of our healthcare system back into public hands where it belongs. The focus should be on providing quality healthcare for all citizens, not generating profits for a select few.
