Minecraft has added new guidelines (Not Mojang's decision it was Microsoft) and they are extremely ridiculous. Not all the rules are dumb specifically:

• Exposing the personal information of others
• Posting links to malicious software
• Sexual content and soliciting improper contact
• Impersonating staff

But I think we all can agree that the rest are pretty stupid. These ones are:

• Hate speech
• Cheating/exploits (this includes anything that would negatively affect another person’s gameplay experience)
• General commercial spamming
• Real life threats

The reason these are all ridiculous is because well for one spamming should not be something you can lose your $30 minecraft account for. Sure it can be annoying but to be banned for it is way to extreme. Second is the "Cheating/exploits (this includes anything that would negatively affect another person’s gameplay experience)" rule. This is extremely limiting because that means we cannot have anarchy servers such as 2b2t where you are allowed to do those things where you know that will happen if you play. And these are actions so there can't be any proof of doing it so if a team of players decide they want to ban you because they don't like you they can!

Hate speech and real life threats different because this should be taken seriously and shouldn't be joked about but the problem the Minecraft community has is the context of the situation. Lets say you and your friend are playing in a survival world and your friend has no hunger you could say "kill your self" so he will respawn and have full hunger but if someone reports that under hate speech or real life threats you could be banned. 

The point for all of this is that this system is dramatically flawed and has taken the right away from server owners to make their own rules for their servers. If you want to make a server for exploiting then we should be allowed to! If you want to make a server where people can say "lets see how high we can jump off a cliff" we should be allowed to! Microsoft has taken our rights to play the game it was intended to be played! Sign this Petition to get our rights back.
