The decision by the Mayor and Council of Keremeos to evict Francesco Oliva and his business, InPiazza & Mediterraneo, has caused significant concern among residents. According to Statistics Canada, small businesses like InPiazza & Mediterraneo account for 97.9% of all businesses in Canada (Statistics Canada, 2019). By evicting this establishment, we are potentially undermining the economic stability of our town. Moreover, Mr. Oliva is a respected member of our community who deserves fair treatment from local authorities.
