We are opposed to the recent change to the ice skating timetable at Braehead Ice Centre, with sessions reduced from 90 minutes to 60.

The change was implemented effective immediately on Thursday February 6, with no prior warning or communication from centre management. There was no information about the change, the times online were just shortened, and no statement has been made since the change.

This comes just a few months after the session price increased from £10 to £12 and now means that customers are losing one session's worth of ice time for every three sessions they attend.  

There appears to be no suggestion that more sessions will be put on or that regulars will be compensated in any way to make up for this change. Season ticket holders are paying the same amount for fewer ice hours.

We ask Braehead Ice Centre to reverse this change at the earliest opportunity, or to reduce the price to reflect the shortened sessions.
