The housing department has recently implemented a policy wherein the rooms in the Village are changed to two doubles and a triple, a week before housing selection. This sudden and unanticipated shift has left many students in a position where they must scramble to find an additional roommate to fill the third bed, causing undue stress and inconvenience. Instead, the housing department should take up the responsibility of assigning the third bed themselves, rather than forcing students to scramble and find a roomate. Another proposition could be to consider sending more students to York, thereby alleviating pressure on the Village housing. This petition is calling for a swift reconsideration of this unfair change by the housing department.
