Return the WRECSAM Wooden Art Installation to Queens Square

Return the WRECSAM Wooden Art Installation to Queens Square
The Issue
The iconic WRECSAM wooden art installation, originally placed in Queens Square, Wrecsam, has been cherished and admired by both local residents and visitors. This stunning piece of art was not just a decoration; it was a symbol of our community's spirit, creativity, and heritage. Queens Square, situated in the heart of Wrecsam City Centre, served as the perfect home for this installation, providing a central and welcoming spot for everyone to enjoy.
Unfortunately, the WRECSAM wooden art installation has since been removed by the Council and relocated to a non-descript, scarcely visited piece of land. This new location, tucked away behind locked gates, is neither accessible nor inviting, and it diminishes the visibility and appreciation that the piece once garnered. The decision has left many, from local residents to regular visitors, disappointed and frustrated.
The art installation's removal from its rightful place in Queens Square has drawn universal criticism and sparked unanimous demands for its return. Queens Square is a beloved and lively area, frequently visited by those who live, work, and play in Wrecsam. The presence of the installation added vibrancy and character to the area, enhancing the experience of all who passed through. The movement of this art has not only impacted the aesthetic appeal of the area but has also affected the community's connection to it.
We urge Wrecsam Council to reconsider their decision, respect the popular wish of the people of Wrecsam, and restore the WRECSAM wooden art installation to its original location in Queens Square. By doing so, the Council would not only be honoring the collective voice of its community but also preserving the cultural integrity and charm of Wrexham's city center.
Join us in calling on Wrecsam Council to bring back the WRECSAM wooden art installation to its rightful home. Sign this petition and help us restore a vital piece of our town's identity to Queens Square.
