At the beginning of the last century, German archaeologists working on the dig site took the Ishtar Gate out of Iraq despite having no right to a historical and cultural relic belonging to another nation. This is theft plain and simple and they refuse to return it. I hope that by drawing more attention to this plight, we can convince the Pergamon Museum in Berlin, Germany to return it to its rightful owners. Theft of antiquities is a real problem. How is this any different than a black market dealer selling mummies to the highest bidder? The home of the Babylonian Empire has to settle for a replica while a foreign nation has the original! How shameless is that?!

Please help bring the Ishtar Gate home.
