Return Stolen Land and Recognize Sovereignty for Black Americans (Moors)

The Issue

We, the undersigned, demand that the U.S. government return land unlawfully taken from Black Americans—descendants of the Moors and the original people of this land. While other communities have been granted land, reparations, and sovereign rights—such as Native Americans and Jewish people—Black Americans have received no federal accommodation despite centuries of systemic violence, displacement, and theft.

Throughout history, Black communities like Tulsa, Rosewood, Bruce’s Beach, and Seneca Village were deliberately destroyed, their lands stolen through racial violence, redlining, and government-backed policies like eminent domain. These were not isolated incidents—they were systemic.

As Moors, we are not only indigenous to this land but also global ancestors of knowledge, spirituality, and civilization. Our connection to this land predates European colonialism. And yet, we are the only group that has not been restored, compensated, or granted land-based sovereignty.

We demand:

Return of stolen land and full land rights to the descendants of historically displaced Black communities.
Legal recognition of Moorish-American identity and sovereignty.
Creation of federally protected land trusts or autonomous zones for Black Americans.
Immediate freeze on further development or sale of land connected to Black historical displacement.
Restitution and reparations, including land titles, housing assistance, and agricultural support.
It’s time to right the historic wrongs. No more stolen land. No more stolen futures.
