The Rosetta Stone is an ancient stone slab inscribed with a decree issued in Memphis, Egypt. The stone is dated to 196 BC and its inscriptions are in three different scripts: demotic, hieroglyphic and Greek. The Rosetta Stone has an unprecedented value as it has been the key to deciphering the Egyptian hieroglyphics.

It became British property after Napoleon’s defeat under the terms of the 1801 Treaty of Alexandria. The stone has been housed at the British Museum since 1802. 

Now, 221 years later, it's time for Great Britain to cede this cultural heritage back to where it belongs and give the Rosetta Stone back to it's  rightgeous owner, Egypt and the Egyptian people.
