Return My Son - Community Endorsement for Derrick Griggs' Federal Civil Rights Case

Return My Son - Community Endorsement for Derrick Griggs' Federal Civil Rights Case
The Issue
We, the undersigned, support Derrick Griggs in his federal civil rights case to be filed in the U.S. District Court (District of New Jersey) against Monmouth County Family Court and related agencies. Mr. Griggs, a respected community leader, father, and former nonprofit CEO, has been unlawfully separated from his son Ibrahim Griggs for more than 500 days without substantiated evidence or due process.
This injustice reflects broader racial and gender bias in New Jersey’s Family Court system, disproportionately affecting Black fathers and their families. Mr. Griggs’ fight is not just personal — it is about justice, accountability, and protecting the rights of every parent and child in our state.

By signing below, I endorse Derrick Griggs’ efforts to reform New Jersey Family Court and reunite with his son. I support his request for a federal review and expedited relief.
