The Lincoln Park Zoo hasn’t had elephants for 14 years since 2009. Chicago is after all the largest city in Illinois and I have a way how we can bring elephants back to Chicago. Brookfield Zoo is getting a new African elephant exhibit in 2034, just in time for the zoo’s 100th anniversary. Lincoln Park Zoo’s new Asian elephant exhibit is called Elephant Camp. Elephant Camp will feature a large indoor elephant  exhibit with an overpass going over the elephants, where guests can see them in the winter and from above, plus 2 outdoor sections and a pool for the elephants. The elephant can walk from one outdoor section of the exhibit, through the door into the indoor exhibit and then through the other door, out of the indoor exhibit and into the other outdoor section where it may want to go swimming. This will be better care for Chicago Zoo’s Asian elephants. They will have plenty of space. So PLEASE ask the Circus World Museum in Baraboo, Wisconsin about moving its retiring circus elephants, Isa and Viola to the Milwaukee zoo as their temporary home until the Lincoln Park zoo’s Elephant Camp exhibit is complete so they can live at the Lincoln Park Zoo and won’t have to go to Oklahoma.
