This country Damehood’s , peerages and knights where once giving to people who deserved it. 

The King and Queen is giving a dame hood to Jackie Baillie MSP for Dumbarton someone who generally doesn’t deserve one for many reasons some of which are listed below many more are common knowledge to the people of Scotland hence why they’ve not been the governing party in 16 years. 

I believe this appointment is doing nothing but treating the people of Scotland with contempt. 

Jackie Baillie for several years now has done nothing but misrepresent and vote against just about every anti poverty policy the Scottish Government has tried to bring in and enforce. examples: voted against free school meals voted to take away the £20 a week extra to Universal credit claimants which would’ve driven people out of poverty AND THEN Attend homeless project Scotland serving soup pretending to care when she voted for many of them to be in that situation treating the homeless population with nothing but contempt. 

several occasions Jackie Baillie MSP has been caught out lying she lied about council tax freezes after telling people she was completely against them the more astounding thing is at one point she quoted figures from her own time in government this was In March 2012 Jackie Baillie also lied that patients had to share blankets at a Scots hospital. Baillie was later forced to admit her claim was untrue. In 2012 Jackie Baillie was caught lying after claiming Scottish hospitals had the worst superbug rate in Europe. The story led BBC Scotland bulletins that day. It later emerged that not only had Baillie lied, she'd used superbug rates from a time when her own party was in power.

Putting the good of the country first doesn’t mean voting to starve children or voting to take away peoples welfare whilst lying to there faces about who really did do it. This appointment is doing nothing but adding to an already damaged award system this dame hood must be retracted and condemned is the strongest possible terms the people of Scotland matter too. 

Giving recent events I’ve decided to update this petition with further information with respect to why this reward must be retracted.

since the General Election in 2024 we have seen umpteen developments in relation to labours campaign and the blatant misrepresentation they’ve continuously been doing since winning the general election.

Jackie Baillie claimed herself that she was in favour of giving compensation to the WASPI women we’ve since seen a u-turn in that space of time. Jackie Baillie then went back on her word again about scrapping the two child cap after claiming there would be no more austerity in Scotland, today the 4th of February 2025 debate and vote took place on the 2025/2026 budget Jackie Baillie didn’t bother to turn up it was a budget that delivered for Scotland that even the Lib Dem’s voted for, She has been called out on two occasions in the last month for misrepresenting and misleading people on figures regarding the NHS in Scotland. It’s not very noble for a dame not to bother turning up to serve her duties to her constituent and vote along with the rest of Holyrood chambers. Abstentions is not what people want no vote for our MSP’s to do. 

I ask everyone to read this carefully and ask yourselves is this the right person to give an award of such significance too.
