I've grown up with the Hamburglar, a character that has been a part of McDonald's since 1970. For over half a century, he has been stealing hamburgers and delighting audiences worldwide. However, after 53 years of service, it is time for him to take a well-deserved break. We propose retiring the Hamburglar temporarily in 2025.

But we don't want to leave his fans empty-handed. We suggest bringing back Captain Crook, another beloved character from McDonald's past who can promote fish fillet sandwiches through commercials and ads for one last heist before being cast back into obscurity.

This change will not only give the Hamburglar time to rest but also breathe new life into McDonald's advertising campaigns by reintroducing an old favourite in a new role. It will also allow us to say farewell to our long-time friend in style.

Let us honour the legacy of these two iconic characters by giving them both their due respect - one with retirement and another with revival. Sign this petition if you agree that it is time for the Hamburglar to retire temporarily and for Captain Crook to return!
