Retire Badge Number 113 in Honor of Our Fallen Officer in Macksville, Kansas

The Issue

Our father was more than just a police officer; he was a pillar of the community, a beacon of justice, and an unwavering protector. He served the city of Macksville and Stafford County(stafford county has already had his badge retired, and are not issuing his badge number currently), Kansas with utmost dedication. His badge number 113 wasn't just an identifier; it was a symbol of his commitment to protect and serve. Tragically, he died in the line of duty.

The pain we feel is immeasurable. The last call for badge number 113 was dispatched at his funeral - it should be the last ever. The city department dad lost his life serving has issued his badge number to a new officer. (There are only two officers in that community) We cannot bear to hear another officer respond to that call sign; it belongs solely to our father.

We are not alone in this sentiment. Across America, retiring a fallen officer's badge number is seen as one of the highest honors that can be bestowed (source: National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund). It's time for Macksville and Stafford County to join this respectful tradition.

By retiring badge number 113, we honor our father's sacrifice and ensure his memory lives on within the force he loved so much. It will also provide some comfort for our family knowing that no other officer will carry his badge number.

Please support us by signing this petition urging local authorities to retire badge number 113 permanently out of respect for our fallen hero and our family's grief.

We would also love if you could write the reason for signing as this will only help our cause! Our family thanks you from the bottom of our broken hearts!!
