The Issue

Mr. Alcala has become an integral part of our junior high school community, known for his exceptional teaching methods and sincere dedication to the well-being and success of his students. His ability to engage and inspire students is evident from the moment you step into his classroom. Every student, regardless of their background or academic level, feels valued and encouraged to participate, fostered by Mr. Alcala's inclusive and motivational teaching style. Throughout his tenure, Mr. Alcala has consistently gone above and beyond to support his students not only academically but also personally. His influence has been particularly significant for the class of 2028 (10th graders now), whom he guided through their critical middle school years, a transformative period in their education journey. Him now working with other clsses like 2030 ( 8th graders) and class of 2031 (7th graders), he has helped these kids so much. His positive impact during this time has set a foundation for their success in later years. The school administration's decision to potentially move  Mr. Alcala  from junior high to the Artz Fox threatens to deprive future students of his excellent mentorship and support. Specially the ones that are going to be 7th graders next year.  It is crucial to retain educators like Mr. Alcala at the Junior High, he  possess such a strong ability to connect with and inspire young minds. We believe that Mr. Alcala should remain in his current position as a junior high teacher. His dedication has proven invaluable to the academic and personal growth of many students. Let's ensure that this impactful and transformative education continues for future classes. Please sign this petition to keep Mr. Alcala as our junior high teacher and support a brighter future for our students.
