We, the undersigned residents of Kingsbury, Brent, urgently petition the Brent Council to address the escalating concerns regarding the prolonged use of fireworks within our community. The current legislation on firework usage is outdated, causing distress to non-participating residents, particularly the elderly and those with pets.

We propose a local ordinance restricting personal firework use to one evening for Guy Fawkes Night and one evening for Diwali, concluding at midnight. This balanced approach aims to preserve cultural celebrations while mitigating the impact on residents' well-being. We urge the Council to review and update existing regulations promptly, fostering a sense of consideration and community responsibility.
