Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is one of the most sacred and revered temples in India, attracting millions of devotees annually from all walks of life. However, it has come to the attention of countless devotees that political interference in the administration of TTD is eroding the sanctity and trust associated with this divine institution. Recently we have seen the political parties over the TTD Laddu issue and 2025 vaikunta Ekadashi stamped.

Political Appointments Over Merit:

The appointments of the Chairman, Executive Officer (EO), Additional EO, and other key officers of TTD are increasingly based on political affiliations rather than merit, capability, and dedication. Such practices undermine the efficiency and sacredness of temple administration.

Commercialization of Devotion:

The focus of the administration has shifted from promoting spirituality and devotion to maximizing commercial benefits, alienating devotees and eroding their beliefs. The temple should serve as a center of devotion and not a hub for political and financial agendas.

VIP Culture at the Cost of Common Devotees:

Political parties and TTD administration prioritize VIPs, VVIPs, businessmen, and celebrities, often neglecting the needs of middle-class and lower-class devotees. This discrimination contradicts the fundamental principle that all devotees are equal before God.

Loss of Devotional Integrity:

Government interference and politicization of TTD's operations discourage true devotees, leading to a decline in faith and belief in the sanctity of the temple.
