Like many Snapchat users, my friends and I rely on Snapchat as our primary mode of communication. The recently removed rainbow and yellow block font wasn't just a typeface, but for us, it was an integral part of our messaging experience. And to be honest, it added a bit of humor to our group chats.

But beyond our personal experiences, Snapchat's user base is vast, hosting an average of 238 million daily active users in 2020 (Snap Inc., 2020). It's also estimated that at least 90% of Snapchat users interact with the app's features (like fonts) daily. Therefore, the demand for diverse, fun, and expressive fonts like the rainbow and yellow block font is not insignificant.

We understand that change is part of growth and that Snapchat continuously strives to improve user experience. However, such changes should not result in decreased user enjoyment. We believe that reinstating the rainbow and yellow block font would not only benefit our group's communication but also would be celebrated by the broader Snapchat community--a community that embraces self-expression and authenticity.
