I remember the days when YouTube was simple and straightforward, and content was king. The old YouTube had a user-friendly interface and genuine community interactions that made engaging with videos a delight. Nowadays, constant algorithm changes, intrusive ads, and an overwhelming focus on profit over user satisfaction has stripped away YouTube's original charm. This petition is personal because YouTube was more than just a video platform to me—it was a community, a place to express creativity freely without the fear of being buried by complex algorithms.

One of the major drawbacks of the new YouTube is the overwhelming content recommendation system, which often pushes irrelevant videos based on commercial interests rather than user preferences. A return to the old, chronological subscription feeds would allow users to connect with creators genuinely and enjoy content without being pushed toward irrelevant alternatives.

Moreover, the increase in mid-roll ads has disrupted the user experience, making it increasingly frustrating to enjoy seamless video playback. Reverting to fewer, less intrusive ads would vastly improve the viewer's enjoyment, which has historically been the reason for the platform's massive success.

Many YouTubers have also expressed discontent over the demonetization issues faced with the current system. By returning to the former rules and structures, content creators could thrive in a supportive ecosystem rather than suffer unpredictably with the demonetization of their work, often without clear reasons.

In order to restore the classic YouTube experience that many users cherished, we request that Google reintroduces the older features, including the straightforward interface and ad policies, while reducing the overwhelming algorithm dominance. This would significantly improve user satisfaction, encourage creativity and safeguard YouTube's identity as a community-centric platform.
