Google Finance was once an indispensable tool for many investors, hobbyists, and financial enthusiasts. I remember when accessing it was a routine part of my day, helping me meticulously track my investments, gains, and strategies. But now, all the useful functionality is gone. One can't sort a portfolio by individual stock performance anymore, and it's infuriating that transaction history was not carried over—just the static number of shares. AI functionality is added when there is no need for it. For example, instead of typing in details of a new buy or sell transaction in  simple fields, I have to form a sentence to tell the AI assistant what to do. 

This isn't just a minor inconvenience; it's a massive setback for thousands who relied on the old features for their daily financial health. With the transition to the new platform, and removal of the toggle switching between Classic and Beta, essential utilities like portfolio sorting, detailed transaction histories, and user-friendly navigation have disappeared, leaving users stranded with an incomplete picture of their financial standing.

It's not just about nostalgia; the classic Google Finance platform provided functionalities that are critical for making informed decisions. Data accessibility and ease of use are crucial in maintaining effective personal investment strategies. These features ensure that users can interact with their financial data in meaningful ways, beyond just seeing static numbers.

The removal of these essential features represents a significant step back in the quality of service that Google has traditionally offered. In a world where accessing precise financial information quickly can make a difference in investment success or failure, why should we settle for less than the best?

We urge Google to consider the feedback of its loyal user base. Restoring the classic version, or at least reinstating the crucial elements of its functionality within the new platform, would be a significant step in acknowledging and appreciating the true value of their dedicated users.
