Restore the Bitcoin Emoji with #Bitcoin Hashtag on X

Restore the Bitcoin Emoji with #Bitcoin Hashtag on X

The Issue

My name is John Doe, and I am an avid user of X platform. I believe that freedom of expression is an integral part of what makes social media platforms like X great. As many of us in the digital community know, the Bitcoin emoji was removed when using the #Bitcoin hashtag on X. This was a terrible decision and struck me deeply as a restriction to our right to express.

Bitcoin is not only a trending topic or a symbol of digital revolution but also a mass expression and communication tool. By removing the Bitcoin emoji, X is denying a piece of identity for digital currency enthusiasts and stunting free speech among its Bitcoin enthusiasts.

As highlighted in a study by the Pew Research Center, 41% of US adults have personally experienced some form of online harassment, much of it taking place on social media. Emojis, like the Bitcoin emoji, can be important tools for positive expression and communication on these platforms. It helps us as users to connect, resonate, and communicate on common grounds.

We hope that Elon Musk, alongside other supporters, can help influence the X team to make the right decision in reinstating the Bitcoin emoji with #Bitcoin hashtag.

Let's call on X to uphold their commitment to user expression and freedom of speech. Sign the petition now and stand with us in our quest for expressive freedom.
