Background
Ron Hughley, popularly known as Ron "The Show" Hughley, is a local sports radio host on Sports Radio 610AM who brings joy, entertainment, and insightful commentary to H-Town sports fans and listeners. A while ago, Ron made a wager on his radio show "The Drive with Stoerner and Hughley". He bet that if the Houston Texans did not draft Bryce Young as their 1st round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, he would drop "The Show" from his name. Unfortunately for him, the Texans drafted C.J. Stroud, the phenomenal quarterback from Ohio State University, instead.

Problem
Since losing his bet, Ron has honorably kept his word and has been going by Ron Hughley, dropping "The Show" from his name. While we appreciate Ron's integrity, it's clear that not having "The Show" as part of his identity has been devastating for his fans, listeners, and even the overall branding of his show.

Why it Matters
"The Show" is not just a nickname; it's an identity that encapsulates Ron's charismatic and entertaining persona. The nickname has a certain resonance among fans and community members, making it difficult to not call him "Show" when we call into the station or argue with him online. 

Silver Lining: We all agree that Ron being "wrong" in his bet worked out better for the Texans, given C.J. Stroud's spectacular performance. Ron's miscalculation turned out to be a boon for the team, and that deserves to be celebrated, not punished.

The Solution
We, the undersigned, propose that Ron Hughley should be reinstated as Ron "The Show" Hughley. We appreciate Ron's commitment to his wager, but we believe that the time has come for the return of "The Show."
