Stepping Back

Hello everyone, this is Galen.

After reflecting deeply, I want to address a valid question: whether there’s a conflict of interest in me both supporting the petition for a strong mayor system and being a potential candidate.

While I am passionate about improving Port Townsend and have offered this petition as a tool for community change, I believe it’s important to step back and allow the community to decide independently.

I’ve laid the groundwork and demonstrated how it can be done. Now, I leave the petition in the hands of the people. Whether this is the direction you want is entirely up to you.

It’s not about me—it’s about giving Port Townsend the choice and voice to shape its future.
